Managing Internet Connections

To surf the Internet or send and receive e-mail messages, you must have configured an Internet connection with YaST as described in Abschnitt „Konfigurieren von Netzwerkverbindungen mit YaST“ (Kapitel 20, Grundlegendes zu Netzwerken, ↑Referenz). Depending on your environment, select whether to use NetworkManager or the traditional method. For further details, refer to Kapitel Verwenden von NetworkManager (↑Start). It includes a list of criteria that help you to decide whether to use NetworkManager or other applications and describes the usage of the applications.
